Yes! I am welcoming new clients at this time. You can get in touch to schedule an appointment or to set up a free 15 minute consultation. In the case that I am not the best fit for you, I will provide you with referrals to other trusted clinicians.

Do you accept insurance?

Yes! I am in-network with BCBS, BCN, Priority Health, and United Healthcare.

How often will we meet?

Sessions are 55 minutes in length and typically occur on a weekly basis.

What will the first session be like?

We’ll use our time in the first session to explore the roles and goals of therapy. You’ll learn what therapy with Sunshine Counseling looks like, address any questions you may have, and explore your hopes for the process.

How does confidentiality work?

Your privacy and right to confidentiality is a top priority at Sunshine Counseling. Information you share in our sessions will be kept confidential unless you have given written permission and consent to share. We’ll cover the exceptions to confidentiality in detail in our first session.

What can I expect to pay?

The rate for a 55 minute counseling session is $175 for an individual and $200 for couples. Individual sessions can be billed to insurance while couples therapy is self-pay. There is some variance depending on your insurance provider and the type of session. A full fee schedule is available upon request. Payment is due at the time of your session and cash, credit card, HSA card, or check are accepted.

Do you offer video counseling?

My licensing allows me to provide video and/or phone counseling services to individuals in the state of Michigan via secure and HIPAA-compliant software.

Do you offer referrals?

If I’m not the right fit for you or do not have the particular training or expertise to assist you, I will provide you with alternative referrals.
